SarcoidosisUK has 14 information leaflets that provide medical information on different types of sarcoidosis, as well as other important topics such as fatigue and information for employers. The leaflets are a fantastic way to increase public awareness of sarcoidosis in medical centres.

Graham Bloye, Senior Executive at SarcoidosisUK, represents the charity on the European Lung Foundation Patient Advisory Committee and Patient Advisory Group. Graham is also a member of the Taskforce for Lung Health and the BTS Registry Steering Group.
SarcoidosisUK has created Condition Insight Reports for PIP assessors at Capita and Independent Assessment Services.

Help to Raise Awareness!
- Encourage your GP to take our Sarcoidosis e-Learning course. Order an information card to hand to them at your next appointment. The card contains a QR code to the sarcoidosis course and is free to order from the SarcoidosisUK Store.
- Talk to your friends, family and colleagues about your sarcoidosis and how it affects you. Direct them to our website for general information.
- Talk to your healthcare professionals about your sarcoidosis. Direct them to our website for more information on sarcoidosis and our Consultant Directory.
- Talk to your employer about your sarcoidosis and how it affects your ability to work, directly or indirectly. Give or show them our Information for Employers Leaflet.
- Become a Patient Ambassador for sarcoidosis at a National or European Level.
- Share your experience with others – Submit a ‘Sarcoidosis Story’ to SarcoidosisUK.
- Sign up to our Newsletter and like/follow our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages to stay up to date with our latest awareness campaigns. Share our posts so that we can reach a wider audience.
- Organise your own awareness event. This could also be a fundraiser. Get in touch for help and advice.

“It’s so very important to raise awareness of sarcoidosis for many reasons. We need to help our loved ones and friends to understand just what sarcoidosis is and how it is affecting us. Without that understanding, it is sometimes not taken as seriously as it should be. We need to educate more of the medical community. So many GPs, nurses and other medical professionals are not aware enough of sarcoidosis and the impact on our health and lifestyle so we often don’t get the help and treatments we need. Finally, raising awareness will assist with diagnosing more easily and will hopefully enable finding a cure one day.”
