In April Donate Today published a news story about the difficulties living with the ‘invisible illness’ sarcoidosis, the support services SarcoidosisUK provides patients and how you can get involved to support our 20th Anniversary Research Campaign.
If you missed it, have a read by clicking the link here.
Lesley Cochrane, SarcoidosisUK Member, speaks about what it’s like living with the condition:
‘You make appointments to see friends and family and then have to pull out at the last moment,’ she explains.
‘Because it’s an invisible illness, they see you as being OK – it’s not as though you’ve had your arm cut off or you’ve got your leg in plaster.
Some people just don’t get it.’
Please consider donating to SarcoidosisUK to help us fund crucial research into a cure for sarcoidosis.
